Ms. AMPURIRE Angel Phionah joined the firm at the beginning of September 2016 as a junior associate. She obtained her Bachelor of Laws Degree (LLB) from the National University of Rwanda and holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the university of South Wales (UK). She is a member of the Rwanda Bar Association and the East African Law Society (EALS).
While at university, Ampurire represented Rwanda at the 2016 Nuremberg International Criminal law Moot court competition in Nuremberg Germany where her prosecution memorial becoming the second best of all prosecution memorials from all the 37 participating countries. She also represented the National University of Rwanda in different debate competitions.
She has been involved in different leadership roles including but not limited to being president of the Law Students’ Association 2015/2016 at the School of Law, National University of Rwanda.
At Trust law Chambers, she works on Energy, Infrastructure, PPPs & Projects, Immigration and Contract law matters.
She is a native speaker of Kinyarwanda and has excellent command of English.
