Mr. Fabrice TUYISENGE obtained his Bachelor’s Degree in Law in 2015 from the University of Rwanda and holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Legal Practice from the Institute of Legal Practice and Development.
Fabrice earned a Master of Laws (LL.M.) in Intellectual Property from the Università degli Studi di Torino (UNITO), through a program jointly delivered by UNITO, the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) Academy, the SAA – School of Management, and the COREP Consortium.
Fabrice has significant experience as a litigation attorney. Prior to joining Trust Law Chambers, he worked at RR Associates and Co. Advocates and Fountain Advocates as a litigator. His responsibilities included drafting court submissions and representing clients before the courts of Rwanda and administrative entities.
He has pursued various online courses administered by the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) and has received certifications in the following areas:
• Certificate in General Course on Intellectual Property Rights (Distance Learning), 2015
• Certificate in Copyright and Related Rights (Distance Learning), 2016
• Certificate in Promoting Access to Medical Technologies and Innovation (WHO, WIPO, WTO Executive Course on the intersections between public health, intellectual property, and trade), 2016
• Exchange of Best Practices on Trademark Examination by the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO), Kigali, 2018
• Certificate in Best Legislative Practices to Combat Substandard and Falsified Medicines and Medical Materials, Expertise France & MEDISAFE, Kigali, 2020
Fabrice is an integral member of the Trust Law Chambers Dispute Resolution team and is passionate about intellectual property and labor law matters.
Fabrice is a native speaker of Kinyarwanda and has excellent command of English, with working knowledge of French and Kiswahili. He is a member of the Rwanda Bar Association and the East African Law Society.
